Dating back to my Toddler years, both my parents and I knew I was going to be passionate about sports when I was older. In my elementary years I dabbled in a little bit of everything. I played flag football, basketball, baseball, and soccer. As time progressed, it was blatant that soccer was my passion. I played for a recreational league before I transferred over to a competitive local club for 2 seasons. Although I was playing a year up, I felt as if I wasn't being challenged enough with the teams we played, and the people I was training around. Therefore, in the Spring of 7th grade, (2017), I tried out for the team I call home, Hartford United, out of Hartford, Wisconsin. I was beyond appreciative to have eased into a new system so quickly. The following 2 seasons leading up to high-school, I had comfort and confidence within my game. I was growing not only as a leader, but I was learning more about the game. My 3rd season is quickly approaching, and my main goal is to be a big help to lead my team to State Cup.
My fall and spring season ended in May of 2019, leading up to high-school soccer. This Fall, I tried out for the high-school team, and made the Varsity Squad as a freshman. From the very jump of the season I held a prominent starting spot on the team, that would last until our very last playoff game. I really took my playing time as more than just minutes, but more as a lesson. Playing against bigger kids than I was used to, also being in a very skilled conference, I learned from the opposition. I think a part of the reason I had a successful Freshman season was the fact that I was so open as to how I needed to play to make the team better. My personal goal next year is to get a spot on an all-conference team. For my team, I am aiming to help lead/contribute to a team that wins a regional championship. I look forward to progressing over these next 3 years for my high-school team.
I feel that there are many things that separate me from other players, such as my pure drive and dedication towards the beautiful game. I spend an immense amount of time training on my own hours. Walking down to my high-school fields to run a personal training session almost daily during the summer is what I expect from myself. In winter, I work to get touches on the ball throughout the day. When training with my team, I am always thinking about what I can focus on to improve my game and my leadership. I also play with intensity and passion towards the game. I am willing to take sacrifices to take me to the next level because it's ultimately all I want. I am also a very coachable player. I will take feedback and process it and find a way to complete it. Feedback is probably one of my favorite parts of the whole sport, because it addresses what I'm doing wrong, and it makes me find a way to fix it. I am more than open to change, and I think that helps me a ton.
Through my passion, growing mindset, and coachability, I am confident I can fit and be involved in any program, college, or team.
