Colin Holtan '20 Recruiting Profile

I am a steady, left foot dominant center to left back with a solid technical foundation who aspires to play soccer all 4 years of college at a school where I can study mechanical engineering and help my team win games and championships.

I have played club soccer in State First and Premier Divisions and in Midwest Regional and Conference First Divisions.  As the starting center back for my U17 club team that placed first in its Midwest Conference division and was a finalist in the 2019 Wisconsin State Championships, I played every minute of every league, tournament and championship game. 

In 2019, I had the honor of being selected to the 2019 Wisconsin Olympic Development Program (ODP) Pool and State Team and the Midwest ODP Pool, which provided invaluable training and experience.

I believe that I am different from other potential recruits because I donate my time to mentor local youth soccer teams.  I have also been on three mission trips (scheduled to attend a fourth) to serve the needs of some of the most impoverished communities in the United States.

I was recently recognized by my high school coaches and peers as the recipient of the 2019 Viking Award for my commitment, effort and leadership on and off the field.  I hope you will consider whether I would be a good fit for your program.
