Brandon Freiberger '16 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Brandon Freiberger and I have been swimming for 9 years. My first 7 years were with the Ladner Stingrays Swim Club (Summer only), and the most recent 2 were with the Winskill Dolphins Swim Club. During my time with the Ladner Stingrays, I swam to numerous club and meet records, as well as provincial records in both the 100m backstroke and the 4x50 medley relay. More recently with the Dolphins, I lead the 4x50 and 4x100 freestyle relay to provincial records, as well as qualified for Age Group National Championships and Senior National Championships. In 2015, I also secured a spot on Team BC.

Outside of the pool, I aspire to maintain the highest grades that I can. I currently have a GPA of 4.0. To me, school is just as important as the pool, and I refuse to be satisfied with plateaued grades. I have been on the principals list and honor roll every year and plan to maintain that status in my senior year. 

For me, the most important thing in a college is finding a program that fits me. I am most interested in finding a positive atmosphere where I can push and be pushed by teammates to achieve excellence both in the classroom and pool.
