- Roadrunner Aquatics is a member of the Central California Swimming LSC and of USA Swimming since 2009. We are owned and operated by Chris Hansen. Chris became the Head Men's Coach in August of 2008, and the Director of Swimming at California State Bakersfield (men and women) in June of 2011. He is a 30 year veteran of coaching at the NCAA Division I level, as well as U.S. Club coaching. Chris has produced Olympians, USA National Team Members, USA National and NCAA Qualifiers. Roadrunner Aquatics is a USA Swimming, US Masters Swimming, and USA Diving club located in Bakersfield, California. We offer a variety of programs to meet your aquatic needs- whether you are a novice swimmer, returning to the sport as an adult, training for triathlons, or competing at the highest levels of the sport. We have been recognized as a 2015 Silver Medal Club in the USA Swimming Club Excellence Program for our performances in 2014. Silver Medal recognition is extended to clubs finishing in the top 100 of the nation in performance criteria. We were again recognized in the Club Excellence Program in 2016 and in 2017, each time as a Bronze Medal Program.
