I have been swimming since I was five years old. This early start has taught me that strong family values is similar to strong swim team values in which I strive to lead and contribute on a daily basis. This can only be accomplished or supported with a meaningful purpose or Why?
The way I approach my purpose is through a mission. When I pursue a mission, it provides me purpose through effort to accomplish the mission. My mission is to compete at a collegiate level with a positive team culture. Some of these variables are a positive mindset, vision, responsibilities, and commitments required by a meaningful mission which feeds my purpose.
This can be anything from cheering a teammate, goal setting to visionary exercises. When I stive to pursue a mission with all my heart, purpose will emerge from there.
I aspire to achieve a strong work ethic consistently (in & out of pool) to help motivate myself and my teammates compete effectively. Some of the platforms I continuously strive for are mental toughness, lead by example and coachable in all my previous sports. I strive to be one of the hardest working swimmers and support my teammates for success. All this can be supported and accomplished on” The 3 D’s”. 1). Dedication 2). Discipline 3). Desire
I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and in the swimming pool. That is my mission and my purpose. I am open to all options and ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. A mutual fit is the hope to become a great role model to all my teammates, in my community and make my parents proud.
