Hi, my name is Benton Cheng, Im a swimmer originally hailing from Hawaii having moved to California my freshman year, I am currently a senior at Northwood Highschool. I enjoy competing against swimmers equal and above myself in order to push myself to do better. I want to swim at a higher collegiate level. I want... no need to push myself to the brink of my limits.
One thing that sets me apart from other recruits is my undying perseverance to prove my worth, I've always been used to being the underdog and having to work my way up, it's a tough path but a righteous one that molded me into the person I am today. In the face of hardship and weakness, I find the strength to fight while bleeding and bruised... at least that's what I tell myself.
I am a very outgoing person and enjoy group activities and am always there to lighten up the mood, I'd tell you lots more things like how obedient I am or how I am willing to do whatever it takes or how much I practice, but I suppose every other recruit writes that in their personal statements, most of all what makes me unique is my sense of self-awareness and my effort to right wrongs and learn from failures. No stepping stone is complete without tripping you just have to keep walking after you scrape your knee.
