Swimming has shaped me to be the person I am today. Working hard at practice and working hard to achieve my goals in school and in the sport has really changed my life over the span of my childhood. I always want to work hard and improve, but I also want to have a fun workout environment. Being team captain for my club team really helped to get that good team environment and helped me to become a better leader in and out of the pool. In academics, I really try to push myself by taking all the hardest classes that my school has to offer. Doing swimming and taking hard classes at school has really taught me how to manage my time correctly. 

 Getting into the pool and working on a hard set is the greatest feeling in the world. The feeling of your bones aching and your muscles screaming just asking you to take a quick break or just to give up. But overcoming that urge and finishing a hard set makes it all worth it in the end because I know that I am making a difference in swimming carrier. My goal in swimming is to become the best I can be no matter what tries to stop me I will overcome my obstacles. I want to push myself to the limit and I want to become the best swimmer I can be.
