My name is Hunter and I’m a swimmer. I love to swim. I study swim and I dream about swim! I started when I was 10 and my passion has really been building these last few years. I am a club swimmer in Southern California and I spend summers in Kentucky where I practice with a local team and compete in open water competitions & the summer Country Club Conference for fun.
My original club had struggles and we had a new coach every year for 4 years until it eventually shut down. I transferred to my current club just over a year ago. Although this brought many challenges and setbacks in training, I learned a valuable lesson that you cannot depend on consistency in your environment. I learned to be more adaptable and independent. I started looking up videos to help me improve & I became a sponge absorbing any knowledge I could find. I found a way to stay positive and keep pushing forward.
I attend a small, Christian high school that doesn't have a swim team, but I ran on the Cross Country team all four years. Recreationally I enjoy skiing, basketball, throwing around a football and hanging out on the farm in Kentucky. In my downtime, I'm gaming, eating or sleeping.
My family values a strong educational background. I've always enjoyed school and have a wide range of interests. I'll most likely focus on business in college to develop a strong foundation that can take me anywhere. I think I've been blessed to have many opportunities, but I know I'm still growing as a swimmer and I'm eager to advance with college training!
