Hello, my name Is Marcu Holunga. I began swimming recreational leagues when I was eight years old and transitioned to year round competitive swimming when I was eleven. I currently swim year-round in the Pacific Coast LSC and during the school season, in the East Bay athletic league. I lettered as a freshman in the 200 Free and 500 Free. I qualified for my first Junior Olympics in July 2019 and won my age group 500 SCY in December 2019. I was on my club's (Livermore Aquacowboys) 800 SCY relay team at Sectionals in LA in Dec 2019 as a fourteen year old. At Sectionals, I swam time trials in the 200 Free and 500 Free.
In addition to swimming, I have been an active member of Scouts of America since I was eleven. Last year, I received the rank of Eagle Scout. I have served as an Assistant Patrol Leader for a year and a half.
Academically, I am interested in the sciences and wish to study biotechnology and physics. Long term, I wish to earn a PhD or enter the medical profession.
