I have had a love for the water and swimming since I was five years old swimming in our local cabana league. I still cherish the relationships I developed with both my teammates and coaches at such a young age. I was consistently ranked the “high point” swimmer for my team and wanted to compete at a higher level and began swimming year round when I was eight. The step up in competition was great and I enjoyed the challenges of swimming and placing at the Jr. Olympics. My love for the water wasn’t restricted to the pool as I have swam many open water races. I began swimming in the Sharkfest Escape from Alcatraz on an annual basis since I was eleven. I have placed top three every year and took the gold in the non-wetsuit division when I was fifteen.
I currently attend Bellarmine College Prep in San Jose. I chose this school not only for the challenging academics, but also because it is one of the top schools in the state of California for aquatics. I split time between swim and water polo since my freshman year, however since the Covid outbreak I have focused solely on swim and found a renewed love and passion for the sport. My times have improved dramatically over the past five months due to rigorous training and some great coaching. I look forward to achieving my futures cuts this December in the USA Swimming 18—Under Winter Championships.
I am extremely goal oriented and have the achievements I will accomplish pinned to the wall in my bedroom. I take great satisfaction crossing goals off the list only to replace them with another. I have many college goals and championships ahead of me that I cannot wait to tackle!
