Current Senior at Leland HS in San Jose, at 6’3”/205lbs, I feel the 50 free / 100 free & 100 fly are my strongest events. As we head into the final stages of High School Swim Season, I am targeting a sub 21 second 50 free as well as a sub 50 second 100 fly.
Swimming collegially is my immediate goal but as a Junior and into the first semester of my senior year, my times were not fast enough for a D1 program. Unfortunately, my body developed a little later than I wanted (restricting my times) but my newfound muscle mass (having gone from 180lbs last year to 209lbs this year) has seen my times drop significantly over the past few months. My coaches tell me I can still get faster which has me very excited about what might lie ahead for me. I'd love to make Olympic Trials but acknowledge I have a lot of work left to do to get there. I have been waitlisted at my preferred College (UC Santa Cruz). If I do not get accepted my backup plan is to attend Junior College for a year and then attempt to transfer into a D1 school for Fall 2023. My desired major is Computer Science.
