I’m a Class of 2025 student at the International Virtual Learning Academy (IVLA), taking NCAA-approved courses through the Apex Program. This flexible setup allows me to excel academically while dedicating myself to competitive swimming.
I was born in the U.S. but spent much of my life in the Caribbean and the UK before moving to North Carolina in 2023 to train with the elite TAC Titans squad. I specialize in Backstroke and Freestyle, from short to longer distances. My journey in swimming began at age 12, leading me to represent the Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI) at the FINA World Championships (2021, 2022) and the Commonwealth Games (2022). I recently qualified for the Futures Championship in July 2024, underscoring my commitment to continuous improvement.
Outside the pool, I’m passionate about Urban Studies and plan to pursue this field in college. My multicultural background and experience interning with organizations in urban planning have prepared me well for this path. Currently, in my senior year, I’m interning within the legal department at PBS (Public Broadcasting Service), gaining valuable insights into sustainable urban development and communication.
My love for the environment has driven me to volunteer with marine biology foundations every summer since 2019, where I’ve been involved in activities like shark and turtle tagging on research vessels and dive mooring maintenance in the Caribbean. I’m also active in my community, volunteering with Titans in Action, an organization within my swim club TAC Titans that empowers youth to make a positive impact in their community and beyond.
Balancing my athletic and academic pursuits is at the core of who I am. I’m committed to pushing my limits in the pool and the classroom, and I’m excited to bring my passion, work ethic, and team spirit to the collegiate level.
