Isaiah Trevizu '20 Recruiting Profile

Hello, Coaches, 

My name is Isaiah Trevizu! I am currently in my last year of high school and I am super excited for college! To play a sport in college has always been my dream, my goal, and my aspiration. I thought I would be applying to colleges with an athletic career in soccer, but when God closed that door, He opened the world of swimming. 

I believe, I would be a valuable addition to the team as I am a hard worker, fitness is my passion, and I am fueled by a challenge. I am a Christian; I give all the honor and glory to God, where it rightfully belongs. Without Him, I would not be able to do anything, so I thank Him every day. In character, I guess you could describe me as generally relaxed and quiet, but comfortable at the same time. I like to hang with friends, but I also need some alone time. I am used to working with others and actually enjoy things more when I do it with someone.  

 I stand out from other recruits as I have been homeschooled since 1st Grade (my profile forced me to put "Lassen Highschool" for my school, but my high school is "Elysian Valley Academy") and it has proven a little difficult for my athletic career. Being in an area with unreliable warm weather, the pool is only open through the summer and early fall. I am part of a Club season swim team and am enjoying that, but was not able to be apart of the high school season swim team for being homeschooled. This was disappointing, however, I did not let it discourage me. I trained and continue to dry-land train, putting in as much effort as I can. Resistance training and endurance training apart of my everyday routine. I hope to also show my devotion to swimming and to your positions as coaches by applying and continuing to dry-land train despite the arise of COVID-19.
