I have grown to really love swimming over the last 6 years of my life. It has taught me the importance of hard work, and how rewarding it can be when the work that you put into something pays off. The euphoria of swimming a personal record, or the discipline and experience that you gain from the early morning hours, where no one is watching, is unlike anything I've ever experienced. Swimming isn't just a sport for me, its an important aspect of my personal growth as an athlete, student, and human being. I have learned to not just do the hard work, but embrace and enjoy it. I have learned how to overcome struggles while still maintaining composure and balance within my schoolwork and swimming. I am willing to go to great lengths to achieve my goals, despite how much it may challenge me. I hope for college to be a great opportunity for improvement not just in my swimming and academics, but for my character and will. I would like to have a challenging college experience, where every day I can actively work to improve myself as an athlete, student, and person.
