I have played softball for the past nine years, and it is my passion. I started playing when I was five years old. I’m a very dedicated player because I’m always working to improve my skills both mentally and physically to play the game of softball faster. As a catcher, I am a leader on the field by calling defensive plays and directing the defense. I also display leadership in the dugout by encouraging and cheering on my fellow teammates.
I’m also very dedicated to my academics and take school very seriously. At my high school I take four Advanced Placement classes, and my other classes are also advanced. I currently have a 4.0 GPA and have had for my entire school career. My weighted GPA is a 4.5.
I currently weigh 130 pounds and am 5'5'' tall. I’m right handed for both batting and throwing. I can run 60 feet in 3.24 seconds, do a pro shuffle in 5.62 seconds and vertically jump 16.7 inches. My pop time is consistently between 1.7 and 1.9 seconds throwing from my knees.
The dedication I have to the sport outside of practice includes taking private catching lessons, private hitting lessons and working out with a strength and conditioning coach.
Outside of softball, I love to be outdoors. My family loves to camp. I also love to hunt and fish. This past year I was able to get my first buck!
I have had many softball achievements that I am proud of. When I was on a second year 10u team (2013) we were the best in the state, and we were ranked 9th nationally. That year I was picked as an USSSA All-star along with two other teammates. In the 2015 season I was also selected for a Triple Crown Sparkler Jr. All-star 12u team and for the USSSA 12u state All-Star team. In the summer of 2015, I also attended the Patti Gasso softball camp, and I was named MVP for the camp for my team. Last year, I was selected by Softball Factory to attend their camp/tournament in Vero Beach. there I was awarded the most outstanding catcher and received a custom Easton Glove. I was also an All-American for Softball Factory. This high school season I was awarded with first team all conference and second team all state, being one of the three juniors awarded that.
It’s my aspiration to play softball in college while getting a good education. I'm looking for a school with strong academic programs and a strong, competitive softball team. I'm open to all types of schools. Some of my goals for college are to make an impact in the classroom and on the field and to play softball at the highest competitive level possible.
