My name is Sebastian Paez and I have many goals I would like to achieve during my college years. I have been on middle school athletic teams all the way through my Junior year of Highschool. I have also been in club teams too. I am currently at Indian River State College competing with their club team the River Rats. I have been there for over 10 years and have interacted with all my teammates. We are a family at the club as it should be on any team. Starting with my goals I am in the Air Force JROTC program with the goal of possibly attending the Air Force Academy. I am one out of 7 Cadets that have leadership positions in our program. I am in charge of community service. I applied for this position last year because I believe that giving back to our community is the minimum thing someone can do. From cleaning up our environment to helping out the homeless these are some activities I organize for the cadet corps. At school, I am in a special program called AICE. This program comes from the University of Cambridge in England and offers many AICE classes that I am currently taking. I am also a dual Enrollment Student at IRSC taking classes to complete my associate of arts in engineering. At the moment I just finished taking a class at Embry-Riddle-Aeronautical University with the goal of earning a scholarship to get my Private Pilot License. My goal is to have my AA and my AICE certificate by the time I graduate from High School.
Being on the team is not an easy job there can be many arguments or differences that teammates and coaches are going to have with each other but that can't stop the team from improving as much as they can in their sport and their relationship with each other. I am a team player that supports my teammates on their bad and good days. I am the person that will work hard and do my best on everything that is given to me to complete. From academics to athletics I will do and complete things as best as I can and if someone needs any help for anything, you can be sure that I will offer my support. My goal is to be able to swim throughout my college life and be able to improve the team I am on in every way possible. I want to be able to learn different techniques and hear different experiences that will help me improve in the pool to my school and normal life.
