Personal Statement

My name is Andreas Athanasios Paloumpis, but go by the nickname Andy . My personal philosophy is self-growth and improvement. When I entered 9th grade I weighed 200lbs and was extremely immature. Today, after 3 years, I weigh 162lbs, and am a captain on my High School Swim Team. I have worked, and through work I have grown into a strong and dedicated person. Make no mistake, I don't consider myself remotely perfect. I still have much growing to do, time to drop, and skills to learn. I am currently enrolled at Hillsborough High School IB, where I am academically challenged everyday. After school I attend both high school practice (3:30-5) and my club practice (5:30-8:00). This means the extract amount of time I spend awake at night is around 8:30-10:30. In this time I do all my homework, stretch after practice, and do 200 crunches before going to bed. I believe that it is necessary to challenge yourself, thus allowing growth and change to succeed in the various endeavors which you pursue. I am interested in entering as a Political Science or Pre-law major, and then going to law school immediately after college. With a plan, I map out what I need to do and how to do it, managing my time so that I can correctly do all my work and not stress myself out.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
