My name is Lucas C. Rosello. I was born on February 1, 2009. I started swimming competitively at the age of 11, when I entered the 6th grade.
I love swimming because of the friendships I've formed, the rigorous training schedule which helps to keep me academically focused and the coaches who push me every day to be both a better person and a better swimmer. I enjoy the workouts the coaches challenge me with. I see the result of my hard work and dedication as my times continue to improve at each swim meet, which encourages me to continue working hard each and every day.
I would like to swim in college because I enjoy the competition, camaraderie, and personal challenges a competitive swim team brings. I enjoy working hard in practice and in the gym to get stronger and faster every day. I like the opportunity to make friends with my teammates and developing a support group to help each other out. I have found that swimming helps keep me focused on my academics and helps me be successful both in school and life. As a Christian, I live by the rules of being good to each other and doing unto others as I would like to be done to me. I would like to go to a quality program where the coaches push us to be better swimmers and individuals every day. As a collegiate athlete, I will bring incredible work ethics in the pool as well as in school. I will push my teammates everyday to be better swimmers and better people. I will work and study hard, enabling me to graduate on time and continue my studies in postgraduate school. I would like to study architecture, engineering or medicine. As a rising ninth grader, I plan to narrow what I would like to study further as I am exposed to different subjects in high school.
I am always open to meeting any coach or investigating any program that shows an interest in me. You will not be disappointed in my work ethic or values as a person. I would like to thank you in advance for your time and for your consideration of me as a potential addition to your program.
