Seth Roach '22 Recruiting Profile

One season of swimming in my town’s summer league at six years old, and I was hooked. When my older brother joined club swimming a year later, I happily tagged right along with him. By high school, I had recruited a younger brother to join us and was clear on my plan to continue swimming in college. As a member of a smaller club team, I have had the opportunity to actively contribute to my team and to gain leadership experience, values I think will be important on a collegiate team. My closest friends are my teammates because we have a great mix of support and healthy competition. I am looking for a swim program where I can progress as an athlete in a supportive and challenging team atmosphere. As important as swimming is to me, I am very focused on academics. I am able to balance my swim commitments with a very demanding course load because of the lessons I have learned in the pool--time management and focus. To me, swimming and academics go hand in hand. I look forward to finding a college that has the coaches, teammates and competition to help me excel in the pool.
