Jakub Galaczynski '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jakub Galaczynski. Swimming is a sport that I truly enjoy and have a lot of fun with. It teaches me something new about myself every day. I learn how to become a better person and a teammate through practice and meets. I first started competitive swimming at the age of 11 at Sharks Swim Club. When I was 14, I transferred to Chicago Wolfpack Aquatic Club (CWAC) where I am about to start my 3rd season. In my freshman year of high school(Lane Tech College Prep High School in Chicago), I made the varsity team. I like high school season because of the spirit of the team, my teammates, and coaches. I feel honored to represent my school colors, myrtle and gold (Go Indians), in the sport I love. Outside of swimming, I like computer science, photography, meeting new people, and see new places. In my free time, I like to hang out with my friends and my teammates after meets/practice and play video games and watch movies. Outside of swimming and school, I give back to my community by volunteering at Feed My Starving Children with my family and friends.
