I've only been competitively swimming for two years; but improved dramatically during those two years because of the work I have put into my sport, in and out of the pool. Goal setting has been a valuable skill in my career as a swimmer. By setting practice goals, meet goals, and dream goals I always have something to look toward and something to achieve. I have learned that swimming goes far beyond just swimming laps in a pool, and that an athlete's mindset is also a key component of success in the pool. I have far more to learn about the sport I hold a passion for, as well as a lot more training to do, in order to break all of my goals.
