Although I enjoy waterpolo and snowboarding, nothing makes me feel more at peace and accomplished  than swimming!  When I’m in the water, the background noise falls away and my focus is immediately on my speed and my strokes!  Swimming has helped me to be a better student, given me self confidence and faith in my own abilities, and has provided me with the tools I need  to succeed and perform well under pressure.

Swimming has continued to challenge me from the time I was six years old! I have steadily improved as a swimmer and as a teammate. My teammates have become my extended family! We are each others’ greatest cheerleaders and toughest critics which helps us push each another to be the best we can be. Throughout my swimming career I have also been fortunate enough to have fantastic coaches who have helped me to improve as a swimmer and supported me through the ups and downs of this sport.

I am currently in the middle of my high school swim career and with the support and guidance of my team and coach, I have been able to make state cuts during my freshman and sophomore year.  In my sophomore year I won conference for 100 breast, came in second at sectionals for the 100 breast, broke the 100 breast school record, and was named All State. I am proud of my achievements, and there is so much more I want to accomplish! A top goal of mine for my upcoming junior high school year is to return to state with 100 breast, 100 Fly, help our Medley Relay place at state, and make Junior National Cuts.

As I look towards college, I can’t wait to create a strong bond with my new swim team, participate in the NCAA championships, and earn my degree in business!
