2022 Highlights Personal Statement
I’m Patrick DeWitt, going into my junior year of high school swimming. I’ve been swimming for seven years and have seen growth significantly each year with time and my dominant strokes. I’ve always enjoyed athletics and being active, but most of all, I‘ve really loved the sport of swimming. It feels like this is the sport I’m meant to be in. I really like the team culture and the hard work it takes in the water and the work mentally. I’m definitely open to more growth in technique, leadership, communication, and so much more. Overall, I want to continue my swimming career into college because, in all honesty, I have no plans to stop anytime soon.
