My swimming career began in 2014 when I swam on a summer league swim team as a nine-year-old. Swimming quickly became something I enjoyed, so I joined the Newton Nitros Club team. After a few seasons of splitting time between playing basketball & swimming, I realized my passion for swimming & committed to swimming year-round. Not only is swimming my passion, but it also helped me discover a sense of self-confidence & it continues to challenge me & help me grow as a swimmer & mature as a person. It has taught me the power of hard work & how to overcome disappointments. It's taught me the value of being a good friend & teammate. I am excited to attend college to continue pushing myself both academically & athletically.
