My name is Campbell Coyle. I will graduate in 2021 from Boyle County High School in Danville Kentucky. I'm extremly interested in swimming at a competitive college that will push me to be a faster swimmer and a important part of the team.
I am enrolled in AP and Honor Classes for my Junior year. At the end of my sophomore year I achieved a 3.906 GPA. My PSAT score 1140 and my first semester Junior ACT was a 25, with a 28 in math.
My favorite events are the 50 free and the 100 free. My best times are, respectfully, 21.57 and 47.13. I look at these events as a combination of stradegy, strength and complete concentration . The accomplishments that have meant the most to me would be making the All-Region Team for high school as a Freshman and Sophomore. I broke the high school records for the 50 and100 free in my sophomore year. I was also the first on my USA team to swim at sectionals.
My training has primarily been through the Commonwealth USA Swim Team. I attend 5-7 practices a week. With 2 a days on Monday and Wednesday. I practice with the high school team on Sundays. We have had limited dryland training during warm months due to limited facilities. I was enrolled in weight lifting the fall semester of each high school year.
Besides training, the majority of my time is devoted to my family's farm. We raise over 100 purebred sheep. Thourgh late nights in the barn during lambing season or training my show animals during early mornings in the summer, I have gained a great appreciation of hard work and desired results. I serve on 2 national boards for sheep associations planning events and shows for the asscotiations. I have won championships from the local to national level with my pruebreed sheep. My FFA team contest have led to 2 state titles. In the pool and the showring, I strive for perfection.
I realize that swimming at the college level will not compare to anything I have trained for or accomplished to this point. I am excited to enter the next step of my swimming career. With a step up in training, I fell I can have significant drops in time and be a vital member of your swim team.
