2018 HighlightsPersonal Statement
Hello Coach,
I am a senior at Owensboro Catholic High School in Kentucky and have been swimming for the last 9 years. I am able to swim all strokes and the IM but focus on backstroke and freestyle. I prefer shorter events but am currently cross training in cross country to improve my endurance. I like to set personal goals and then try to achieve them as the year progresses. This year I am training to break the school and club team records in the 100 back and 50 free; however, I don’t know what is ahead for the season due to COVID restrictions.
I feel that I have a lot of potential and growth ahead of me and I’m looking forward to swimming in college. In the future, I look forward to contributing to a college swim team while working hard on my academics to achieve my goal of medical school. I enjoy supporting my team mates and striving to improve the program.
