Winning my first state title for my high school as a freshmen was a highlight of my athletic life. My interest in swimming began at age 11 when I joined Crawfish Aquatics in November 2010. I was promoted from a developmental level to a team level the following fall 2011 season and placed 1st in the 50 yard breast stroke at the Louisiana short course championship. My coach was instrumental in helping me develop my skills having started later than most other swimmers. Under Coach Thomas Clavier I learned to be a more disciplined swimmer with a newfound motivation to become a winning swimmer in high school and college. Each year with Crawfish Aquatics I have placed in the top 3 in one or more events at the state championships, and I am an All-State Swimmer every year. I have also qualified for Texas sectionals the last 3 years in my breast stroke events.
My academic goals in high school focused on my participation in the Academy of Health Sciences at Lafayette High School. For the last two years in my sophomore and junior years I took regular and honors classes plus health academy electives that challenged me to up my game academically. I have learned through my high school years that teamwork is one my biggest assets. I am a team player with a positive attitude, understanding commitment to finish a task well and encouraging others to do their best in and out of the pool. As you can see I'm passionate about swimming and am looking for a program where I can achieve my goals.
