Ryan Meledick '26 Recruiting Profile

Hello, I’m Ryan Meledick. I am a dedicated and focused student athlete who loves to swim, play baseball, and volunteer my time.   I bring passion, dedication, and determination to everything in which I am involved, including my academics.  I am looking for a college that enables me the opportunity to achieve my competitive swimming and academic goals while making long-lasting friendships along the way.

We have been members at a summer pool since I was a baby and I started taking swimming lessons soon after.  My love for swimming and the water started during those early years and has only grown as I have gotten older.  Over the summer, I volunteer for my summer swim team, teaching swim to younger kids.  I am very passionate about giving back to the swim community as it has given so much to me over the years.   I am a quiet leader and try to set an example for the rest of my teammates, in and out of the pool.

The lessons that I have learned through swim has carried out in all areas of my life.  I have learned about setting goals, putting in hard work, not giving up after setbacks, and believing in myself.  I put the same efforts into my school work- my grades are extremely important to me.

I am focused on pursuing my goals further in the future and I am looking forward to swimming at a higher level in college. I have always believed sports to be a positive force in my life and a chance to meet new people and be part of a team.
