Just to tell you a little about myself, I have been swimming competitively for 9 years and the past 6 have been with Crimson Aquatics under Coach Mike Spring. Crimson is a premier club team in the Northeast with a winning record and a reputation for producing committed, hard working, student-athletes. I finished up my short course season at the2017 EZ Speedo Sectionals held at Ithaca College, March 30th-April 2, 2017 by qualifying to swim in the 200 free, 500 free, 1000 free and the 1650 as well as some of Crimson's Relays. Also in March 2017, I swam at the 2017 NE GS 15-18 Championships in which I placed 8th in the 1000 free (9:47.29) and 15th in the 1650 (16:44.88).
I have just completed my junior year of high school and am happy to be out for the summer! During my high school swim season, I was selected as a 2017 Eagle Tribune All-Star, 2017 Boston Herald All-Star and was a member of the 200 Free (1:30.57) and 400 Free (3:16.14) relays teams that smashed the Merrimack Valley Conference Records. I also placed 1st in the 500 free at the Merrimack Valley Conference Championship meet and 6th in the Massachusetts Division 1 State Championships. I am extremely proud of these accomplishments, however, I am most proud of being selected by my teammates to be a Team Captain for our 2017-2018 season.
Academically, I have been working very hard and have been an honor roll student freshman, sophomore and junior year. I currently have a 3.5 GPA and 1180 SAT score. I will be taking the SATs again and know for sure that I will increase my score. I plan to study Science in college although I haven't completely decided which field. I have taken biology, physical science, forensic science and chemistry. I received the Excellency in Physical Science Award my freshman year and Excellency in Biology Award my sophomore year based on my performance in these subjects.
As you can see, I am a dedicated student-athlete that has a passion and commitment to do well in school and the pool. I know I could make major contributions to collegiate Swimming and Diving program, especially in some of the long distance events like the 1000 and the 1650. I am a team player who will work with my teammates and coaches so that we can all succeed academically and athletically.
