I started swimming when I was four years old. I was a natural and fell in love with swimming. I started swimming on a team at the age of 6 and have learned about hard work and dedication over the years. There are no pools or swim teams close to my house and I have to travel 2 hours to get to my club team. I am driven and self motivated and practice on my own often due to the distance of my team pool. I am an overachiever in the water, which is also true for school. My competitive drive has led me to success in both the pool and through my academics. Due to my love of the water, I have earned by Advanced Open Water Scuba certification and sailing certification. I know I would be an asset to the right team and excel even more with a coach and a pool at my doorstep. I look forward to improving after I reach college and contributing my best to my college team.
