I've been a competitive swimmer since the age of 4, and I've wanted to swim in college since the age of 8. I have always worked hard in the pool and outside of it for as long as I can remember. An example of this is when I was 9 years old, I was not a very good butterflier, and I wanted nothing more than to be good at it, so in the time when most people weren't swimming, I'd get in every day and swim 1000 yards of butterfly until I got better, and now the 200 fly is one of my best events. I pride myself on my versatility in the water, being able to swim every event, on top of loving every event. I have not done any weight training going into my junior year of high school, while having a high aerobic capacity due to the 60,000-70,000 yards per week of training. I come into practice with a goal in mind every day and I don't need to be told twice to do a set, for there is a job to be done every day. I love to bond with my teammates and create life long friendships, while pushing myself and them everyday in practice.
