Personal Statement

If I had to name one of the most influential things in my life I’d say it would be swimming. Swimming has taught me many things: hard work, dedication, and most importantly humility. Though I may not be the fastest, I always give it my 100% and over the years I’ve improved drastically. I’d love to swim at the collegiate level not only because I love the sport, but also because I welcome the challenge. One thing that defines me is my ability to take these challenges and succeed in overcoming them.

Nike Stroke & Technique Training Camp at CalTech
6/28/18 to 7/01/18
At this camp I was able to improve my technique tremendously with the help of Head Coach Teri McKeever as well as Cal swimmers. Each day was 6 hours long, full of swimming, technique analysis, and discussions with Olympians such as Dana Vollmer. This camp was a wonderful opportunity for me to learn more about the intricacies of swimming while also improving my technique as well as my speed.
