2022 SpotlightPersonal Statement
I've been swimming since I was 9 years old. When I started summer swim league, it was because my parents made me. I had to have a summer sport and honestly, I'd tried everything else. I could not have anticipated the impact that summer would have on the rest of my life. With swim I found my calm. I found my focus. I found my drive. Since entering high school, my swim skills have dramatically improved. I value the friendships and relationship I have made with my teammates and coaches. With only one year left of high school, I realized that I am not done. I want to continue to be part of a team and see where I can go with swim in the next four years.
