When it comes to swimming, my long term aspiration is to not only drastically improve and seize every opportunity in excelling my skill set in the sport but to also overcome the constant mental challenges that come with it. Although I have a strong passion for swimming, I believe that because of my time constraints with my academic coursework and extracurricular activities, I haven't been able to reach my full potential in the sport and would like to further it under better conditions in college. Also, I would love to be in a position to help others. While swimming is a unique sport that focuses on the achievements and performances of an individual (as opposed to a team), I enjoy supporting and seeing the progress of others as I consider both of my swim teams to be my second family. I'm very selfless and put my teammates before myself so that my team as a whole is successful. I am a leader amongst my peers; I am dynamic, versatile, and able to improve drastically within a short period of time being the quick learner I am. Beyond swimming, I have an extreme desire to pursue electrical engineering as my major while being given the privilege to swim competitively in college. I would like to be competitive but also maintain a stable swim career throughout my years in college. However, I am still interested in attending a school with a very competitive swim team. I am currently competing in a very competitive high school swim conference and yearn to further that experience in college.
