Connor O'Neill '25 Recruiting Profile

I have been a competitive swimmer, and a soccer player since I was 8 years old. However, this past fall, I made the decision to focus solely on swimming, and I have continued to strive towards my goal of swimming in college ever since. While I enjoyed playing soccer, I realized that my true passion was swimming. Swim has always been essential in my life. My first encounter with it was with my summer swim team in Long Beach Island. After that, I asked to join a competitive swim team. This led to me to the Summit Area YMCA swim team, which I have competed on for the past 9 years. With swimming, I have learned the importance of hard work, mental toughness, and discipline. These three factors play an important role in my student life as well, where I strive to improve myself on a daily basis. Lastly, my love for swimming drives me towards my goal of swimming at the college level.
