Wrestling has played a huge role in my life for the past 10 years, it has not only taught me a lot about myself and what I am capable of, but I have learned so many life lessons such as work ethic, perseverance, and how to be mentally tough. All of those qualities have played a huge role in shaping me into the person that I am today.
I believe I can add tremendous value to a college wrestling team. I not only push myself to be a better wrestler and person but I push others, and without a person like that on the mat it is hard for a team to reach its full potential. As a wrestler, my long and lanky body type makes it hard for other wrestlers to figure out how to wrestle me, and my versatility in my style of wrestling makes it that much harder for my opponent to figure me out.
In the classroom I work my hardest no matter what I have going on at the time, because when it all comes down to it academics come before anything. Overall, athletically, and academically, I would make a great asset to a college wrestling team.
