I am 17 years old and I am a senior at Lindenhurst High School where I will be graduating in 2018. I have a GPA of 3.7. My collegiate goal is to become a pharmacist What makes me different from other candidates in terms of athletics and academics is my work ethic. I work hard in both the classroom and in the pool and my grades and times reflect that.
I have been swimming my entire life and I absolutely love it. I have been an important piece of the 200 freestyle relay and the 400 freestyle relays for the past three years. This year I was named a captain of the team and have continued to improve as a swimmer. I also swim for a club team called Islanders Aquatics which is one of the best swim clubs on Long Island and have produced excellent swimmers over the years. I swim the 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, and I lead off or anchor the 200 and 400 freestyle relays at my varsity meets. I take my education very seriously. I am in several honors classes including an AP course and I get very good grades on most of my tests. I am looking for a college that can challenge me academically, is close to home, and has a competitive swim team. I am open to different types of schools and I will consider every school before making my final decision. I will be extremely motivated to swim in college after my senior year and I can’t wait for the challenges that await me.
