Clay Fogle '13 Recruiting Profile

My name is Clay Fogle and I'm very interested in swimming at the college level.  I will graduate in 2013.  I've manintained a 4.0 during my high school career and have received four All County All Star swimming awards.  I was on two State Qualifying relay teams my Sophmore year,  and qualified for State my Junior year in two individual events and both our 200 free and medley relays. I qualified for State my Senior year in the 50 free and three relays. Outside of the high school season I participate in YMCA swim team and a summer swim team.  My strengths are my competitiveness, leadership, and strong work ethic.   I really enjoy the sport and I'm not afraid to invest a lot of time training.  I'm always looking for ways to better my technique and I train hard to become faster.  I have been swimming competively since I was seven years old.   I'm six feet, four inches tall and weigh 180 lbs.  My fastest open 50 yard free time is 22.19 seconds, and I anchor the 200 free relay with a split of 21.51 seconds.  My 100 yard freestyle time is 49.04 seconds.  I'm also very good at backstroke and butterfly, swimming a fly split of 23.89 in the 200 yard medley relay.   I would like to join a team that will train and push me to become faster,  and that will give me the opportunity to swim as much as possible.  I have not yet decided on a major or have a preference on a college size or division.  Thank you.
