I am currently a high school junior at Normandy, and this will be my 8th year of swimming competitively. I love what I do in the pool, and I'm always doing everything I can do to better myself inside and outside of the pool every day. I'm still working becoming the best version of myself through my swimming, academics, and life in general and I'm delighted with how I am developing so far! After many years of tears, giggles, fits of rage, coping with failures, and dealing with times of self-deprecation that come along with a strong swim commitment, I have become very resilient, and I'm now prepared to take on any physical and mental challenges that may arise. I feel very confident and alive in my skin now, and I owe it all to my experiences in the pool. I am easy to coach; I'm very disciplined as well as a bonus, so for these reasons I believe that I have the mentality to thrive in a college swimming environment.
I'm full of optimism and effervescence. I love competing with my teammates. As a firm believer in team strength, I prioritize everyone else's goals at the same level as my own. I genuinely care about the well being and success of others, and I believe that everyone is capable of fantastic things! At meets, you can always find me cheering loudly and dancing shamelessly on the sidelines. Everyone has aspirations for themselves, and when you're part of a team, I believe that a win for one person is a win for everyone. Being able to contribute to a team and being able to create strong bonds with people is one of my most significant takeaways from swimming; I believe that your teammates are who make your memories memorable and are the leading source of pride in what you do.
I genuinely enjoy learning, and I have big goals for my future. Right now I want to either pursue a doctorate in Physical Therapy or Pharmacy, and I'm very excited for the road ahead. I'm excited about everything I'm going to learn in the classroom, all of the new people I will meet, and all the new life lessons that will come across! I'm always learning new things in my education, about life, and about myself, and I'm very grateful to have these opportunities open to me. I hope to be a qualified representative of your school values and hope to develop into the best version of myself both academically and athletically at your school. Whether it be the life lessons I learn, being pushed to my limits, or finding joy in my programs, I still want to learn about myself and develop. I'm not finished learning!
