I began Swim Team in middle school, but only in my Freshman year did I begin swimming the 500. Swimming distance taught me the value of work ethic. Over the course of Freshman year, I was able to consistently PR every race, if I put in the effort. I learned very quickly that if I applied myself now, I would get results later. I consider my Freshman year the most important, thus far, for this reason, and also because it taught me that I could be competitive. At the beginning of Freshman year, I was the slowest distance swimmer. By the end, I was one of the fastest.
By the end of High School, my goal is to break both the 500 free and 200 free records. Dedication to self-improvement and work ethic I know I can be a valuable asset to any team.
