Hello! My name is Samuel Wygonik and I am excited to pursue swimming at the collegiate level. I discovered how much I love this sport when I was injured after my freshman season and spent an entire year out of the water. I believe my comeback from that injury sets me apart from the competition and shows my dedication and work ethic. Through the 10 years I have been swimming, I have found myself to be a more driven and task oriented person. I never let myself get comfortable and I am always striving to get better. Finding new ways to challenge myself, whether that be taking Pre-Calculus over the summer to get ahead, or working for 9 years to achieve my black belt in tae-kwon-do, has always been something I have pursued. I plan to study physics and economics in college. I hold myself to extremely high academic standards and hope to find a school that reciprocates those same values.
