When I was younger my mom would have friends who were previous swimmers give me swim lessons. It wasn't until I was 8 that I started my first actual season with my summer team. It was really fun for me at first, then when I saw all the hard work I had to do if I really wanted to take this somewhere. I struggled a lot. Eventually, I earned back that love for swimming I had when I was a kid. When I dive into that water I don't worry about other things that cause me trouble, it is just me and the water. My future goals would be to proceed with a major in Psychology and to swim in a successful and competitive program. What makes me different from other recruits is that I will push myself even when my body is giving up on me. When I put myself into a mindset where I need to get something done I don't just try to meet the standards I want to surpass them.
