I have been swimming for most of my life, and that's because I love the sport. I spent every day of my summers at the pool, and now I try spend every day of the year at the pool. It's been a big part of my life and I'd love to continue swimming for as long as I can. That granted, swimming hasn't been everything I've done with my life. Academically I want to study physics, astrophysics, and astronomy because I've been interested in those things since I was 5 years old. I joined Cub scouts as a first grader and fell in love with scouting, so much so that I stuck with it all the way up to the rank of eagle scout. I enjoy almost all outdoor high adventure activities like rock climbing, mountain biking, kayaking, canoeing, caving, snorkeling, fishing, etc.. In 6th grade I started teaching myself how to play guitar, and now I play tuba, guitar, banjo, ukulele, harmonica, and a little bit of piano (I'm still learning). In general, I am a person who likes to try new things and continue doing those activities/hobbies I enjoyed. Swimming is the first activity I started to do, and I stuck with it for longer than anything else I've done
