Casey Mitchell '19 Recruiting Profile

I aspire to attend a university in which I can grow as a swimmer, as a student, and as a person. Ideally, I would like to receive a quality education at a place with a close-knit team that bonds really well and supports each other at all performance levels.  I feel that I would be a positive asset to any team that I am on because I already have leadership experience on my high school and club teams. I can see myself taking on a leadership role in my late collegiate career and being supportive of my teammates no matter the circumstances. What makes me different from other recruits is my unwillingness to give anything less than 100% in everything that I do. I feel that it is always good to push my limits whether it be in the pool or in the classroom, and I enjoy the feeling of setting goals and working hard to achieve them. I'm also used to the rigorous training conditions that come with being a part of a college swimming program. This is because I currently am enrolled in 3 Advanced Placement Classes, and I regularly have 10 or 11 swim sessions as well as 6 weight room sessions per week.
