One of my goals for the 2013-2014 short course season was to make it on the podium at the 4A Texas State Meet. I have been to this meet both my freshman and sophomore years; my freshman year, I finished 14th in the two events I qualified in and in my sophomore year, I finished with the 7th fastest time in the 50 free and 4th in the 200 free. This my junior year, I achieved my goal and placed third in the 200 free with a 1:41.40 and placed second in the 100 fly with a 50.64. Both were personal best times and I was proud my hard work paid off with Silver and Bronze medals. I am shooting for the hard cuts for junior nationals this year and am looking forward to the upcoming long course season. My ultimate goal is to swim for a competitive Division I or II college. I have also set the goal to make an Olympic time trial for the next trials in 2016.
