Ryan Ewing '13 Recruiting Profile

    My name is Ryan Ewing, currently I am a Junior at Nacogdoches High School located in "Deep East Texas".  I am relatively new to swimming.  I started my freshman year because my parents have a rule that my sister and I “must be involved in something”.  I was lucky to make the High School Swim Team.   Since my Freshman year I have been named 2nd team All-State twice, All-State Honorable Mention twice, 1st team All-Region 3 times, 2^nd Team All-Region, 1^st Team All-District three times, and the accomplishment I am most proud of, being elected Team Captain.   I have swam and worked the past two years as hard as anyone on my team.  I love being on the swim team.  I have swam like I have always had to catch up to their level, show coach she made the right decision, never let the team down, and never be the slowest guy on the A relay.  This is how I approach swimming.  I will swim any event our team needs in order to gain enough points to secure a victory. Team first. 

   I am looking for an institution where I can find the right balance of Academics, Athletics, and Social.   I would like to attend a University where I can pursue a degree in Business.  I am open to swimming anywhere in the country, I somewhat like the idea of moving away and starting a new adventure.  I am open to swimming for developing programs or those that are already established. I just want to be a part of something moving forward.
