2020 Highlights Personal Statement
I have been swimming since I was six years old. I wasn't the fastest swimmer back then, but I kept practicing and grew to love the sport. I look forward to practice everyday because it is an opportunity to get better and encourage my teammates. I work hard at every single practice and I am always thinking about the next meet because I am constantly looking for ways to improve. I go into every single race with a goal, even if it is an off event. Swimming is an important part of my life, but I understand that academics is the first priority and I always make sure to get my school work done. I always make sure my grades are where I want them to be and I currently have a GPA of 4.03 after sophomore year.
