I am Justin Grantham . I have truly enjoyed swimming since I was 8 years old. I began rec league swimming at age 9 where I really feel in love with the team atmosphere . At 11 I was approached bye the local year round swim club coach about my potential and he suggested I join his team. At the time I was playing basketball and soccer and was not interested in just doing swimming alone. At age 14 I was approached bye several kids and parents about joining this travel team again. At this point I finally said yes. In my first Short course season I qualified for age group championships and I was hooked. Then covid hit and took away an entire season but I still worked out in hopes of improving my strength and conditioning to further improve and reach my goals. What I love about the sport is the competitive aspect, team spirit and the hard work and dedication it requires to become a better swimmer. The training and conditioning part of competitive swimming has also lead me to become interested in Physical Therapy as a potential path I may want to purse as my major.
