I'm looking for a school where i can grow acedemically as well as continuing my lifelong swimming career. I am a determined athlete who has battled through Chron's disease. A condition which has in the past decreaced my preformance in both areas by taking me out of the classroom and inhibiting my growth. However through determination and patience i have been in deep remission a few years now. Having gained back the weight i lost and sticking with the sport the whole time i have earned most improved swimmer multiple times and contiue to drop time. Coming into freshman year varcity seemed just out of reach, but i suprized myself after breaking a minute in the 100 free at time trials for varsity i astounded myself by dropping to a 53.6 by the end of the season. This year as a sophmore I dropped that number below 50 seconds on a relay at state.
Im determined to work hard to achieve my goals, and if given the chance to swim in college I am more than willing to step up to the challange.
I hope to get PhD in Naval architecture/Marine engineering but i am also very interested in biology/biotech.
