My interest in swimming came alive when I was eight years old. I was drawn in by the fact that I was part of a team, but was also able to be my own person and control what happens. As I've progressed over time, I've learned what commitment truly means while building lasting relationships, and I've experienced hard work paying off. I really enjoy the hard work and competition - really pushing myself to be my best. In the future, I hope to swim for a college and take my life down the path of engineering. I believe I embody many of the requirements to be an excellent academic student and swimmer at many colleges. I believe my biggest strengths as an athlete are leadership, integrity and discipline.
Being a freshman in high school and placing top 6 in both of my individual events at the Washington State High School Championship was one of my greatest and most rewarding achievements. This experience not only gave me an extra boost of confidence in my swimming, but it also taught me how grit, sacrifice, and dedication can take you a long way.
COVID brought an interesting twist to our swim season during my sophomore year. I placed first in the 100 back stroke as well as first place in the 200 IM. I was also awarded SPSL 2A All League First Team. It was a great accomplishment to a challenging year!
